Electrical

Stevens' Homes electrical division is fully Part P compliant and registered with the competent persons scheme. There are several companies under that supply registration, you may have heard of one or more of them - NIC EIC, ELECSA, Napit are the main three. Our governing body is ELECSA and they ensure that the electrical work that we carry out is compliant with Part P of the building regulations 2008 and that it is up to the standards of the latest edition of the IEE Wiring regulations, currently the 17th Edition. They do this by means of a yearly interview and inspection of our work so that we are closely monitored to ensure we keep up to date with the latest regulations and that our installations are neat and safe. All electrical work in the home must now be carried out by a competent person and when installed be tested and accompanying paperwork supplied. If this is not the case it could case problems when you come to sell your house, or worse still it could mean that the installation was not done to standard and could be dangerous.

Stevens' Homes is fully accredited and insured to undertake and sign off all domestic electrical work as well as electrical work to commercial premises. We have full public liability insurance and supply a 12 month parts and labour guarantee with all our electrical work. Call for a quote.

Stevens' Homes helps local company with cycle to work initiative.

Stevens' Homes latest project has been to install a showering cubicle to a local company so that their staff can have a warm shower after cycling in to work. The initiative was thought up by the owner of Allday Time Systems at Lynchford Lane in Farnborough and with the help of Stevens' Homes the new shower room is up and running with great success. An old unused single toilet cubicle was sacrificed to provide the space for the new shower. The room was transformed by Stevens' Homes with new ceiling and lights, extractor fan and heated towel rail. The whole room was tiled with a natural stone detail and the floor with hard wearing black ceramic tiles. The 8.5kw shower provides a good flow of hot water for showering and the electrics for the shower the lights and the heated towel rail were all installed as part of the project with Stevens' Homes, with a new consumer unit - all tested and Part P signed off.
